Welcome

Alaster ThomWelcome from Alaster Thom. I am passionate about helping teachers and leaders inspire and motivate students so that they make progress, enjoy their learning and play and sing musically.

We have a responsibility, as music leaders. to make sure that all children have access to high quality music making and I have been able to help many teachers and leaders achieve this goal.

My Masters in Education convinced me of the importance of ‘doing’ and taking part in music making. I have a wide range of experience in teaching KS2-5 and have taught GCSE, BTEC, A level and Cello to Diploma level.

I enjoy working with large groups of students and lead whole class instrumental projects (First Access).

I am a keen and experienced workshop leader and enjoy helping music leaders to work confidently with students of all ages. It also helps to keep my own musical skills up to standard!
